Happy Three Point Thursday.
This week’s edition features some eye-opening financial data, a jarring realization about the internet, and two book recommendations.
The financial success of Asians in America is remarkable.
Asian households have the highest median income among all ethnic groups in the United States. In 2023, it was $105,600, while the national median was $75,600 (source).
The whole world isn’t even online yet.
2019 was the first year that the more than half the world was online. Even today, roughly one third of the global population still does not use the internet (source).
Two great books on creativity.
The Creative Act by Rick Rubin and The War of Art by Steven Pressfield are two modern classics about creativity. What makes them unique is the rare blend of the poetic and the practical. They offer abstract inspiration while also offering frameworks you can actually apply. Both of them are definitely worth a read.
