The website for my upcoming book Degrees of Absurdity is live!1 When it’s published, you’ll be able to buy a Kindle version or physical copy directly from the site or Amazon.
May 21, 2027, is the publication date I’m aiming for. Next month, I’ll be working with an editor again for one more copy edit, and after that comes the proofread. Then it’s on to interior formatting and cover design—the stuff that doesn’t have to do with the story and writing itself but is also incredibly important for a good reading experience.
To say this has been a labor of love would be a massive understatement. Writing a fiction book for the first time while working a demanding tech sales job is not easy. Having a large quota and a 70,000-word manuscript in need of editing always hanging over your head can really deplete your mental energy some days. It also, of course, requires disciplined time management. Throw in social life, fitness pursuits, and frequent travel, and it gets even harder.
While doing all this has been extremely difficult, it has also been deeply meaningful. And I have the best family, friends, and girlfriend a man could ever hope for, and that always makes everything better.
I’ve recently started to kind of feel embarrassed at how long it has taken and continues to take to finish the book. But when I think about how much I’ve had to learn throughout the process, and how many other things have gone on in my life during the time I’ve been working on this, that feeling goes away.
Besides—once a book is finished, it’s finished, so when it comes to editing, I’d rather take my time and make sure I leave it all on the field.

Wow, congratulations Jeff on seeing this through.
