One of my favorite videos on the internet is of a child asking Tom Brady a question on Super Bowl media day.
“You’re a lot of people’s hero, but who is your hero?” the kid asked.
Brady acknowledged what a great question it was, and his tone was the kind people use when they talk to children.
But the more he articulated his answer—saying that his dad was his hero—that tone changed. He suddenly was choked up. After a pause, with a voice that sounded like a frog croaking, he said, “my dad.”
It was a beautiful moment, one that left no doubt as to how much he admired his father.
Additionally, it made me think about how you should never pass up an opportunity to let people know how much they mean to you.
There is no time to waste. Let them know about all the love you feel deep inside.
