In honor of Easter Sunday, here’s some sayings from Jesus I find inspiring. Regardless of your beliefs, these ideas can be useful.
I.
Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to cast a stone.
—Jesus Christ
This is how Jesus responded a group of people who were calling for adulterous woman to be stoned to death.
It reminds me of the idea that you should tolerant of others and strict with yourself, instead of vice versa.
There’s no bigger fool than one who spends time criticizing others, while never being critical of themself.
II.
So I say to you, Ask and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.
—Jesus Christ
To me, this is an eloquent way of saying closed mouths don’t get fed.
Take the chance. Whatever the chance is—speaking up, asking the question, posting the video, creating the blog, launching the business, applying for the position, sending the cold email or direct message.
You’ll never know if you don’t try. In most cases, trying and failing is less painful than never trying—and regretting not knowing what could’ve been.
III.
For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul?
—Jesus Christ
A question to contemplate regarding your general life path / ‘career direction.’
