Allow me to reintroduce Three Point Thursdays,1 short curation pieces where I share the best of what I’ve been reading and thinking about.
Background: I started this Substack from a cafe in Barcelona in 2022 because life’s big questions wouldn’t leave me alone.
This Substack became my art project. I write about philosophy for people who are best described as Jacked Nerds: people who will read Albert Camus, adventure to a different country, and lift heavy weights all within the same week.
On this blog you get earnest essays on those big questions, but full essays are still on pause as I invest all my long-form writing and editing energy in finishing my first book. In the meantime, though, I’ve decided to continue Three Point Thursdays—named after my love of shooting a basketball. Or, to be more specific, coming off a pindown and fading to the corner with my hands ready because the defender went over the screen, and knocking down a trey ball in rhythm.
Some of my favorite newsletters are quick, 5-minute-or-less reads I can enjoy with a coffee before the day starts getting busy. This is what I want Three Point Thursdays to be like for you.
Below are some examples of past issues to give you a sense of what to expect if you’re new here. I hope you enjoy. See you next week!
Sage Dostoevsky, Hybrid Work, The Library of Babel
Happy Three Point Thursday. This week’s edition features a classic line from Russian literature, some thoughts on modern work, and a quick highlight of the wisdom of Jorge Luis Borges and Albert Camus.
It has been so long! Way too long—I haven’t published anything since April. I’ve really missed thinking out loud here. This Substack has always been near and dear to my heart.

He’s back!!!
