The Problem

Thanks to the internet, humans have more tools than ever to learn anything and pursue their dreams.

Unfortunately, due to excess consumption of negative, misleading, and useless information (from the news and social media), the opposite tends to happen. People worry about things they can't control. They grow resentful of people they’ve never met. They compare themselves to seemingly more successful people and become depressed. They develop weak attention spans from digital overstimulation. They’re constantly distracted out of fear, jealousy, and pessimism. They don’t have good ideas or insights that they’d otherwise have in a more rational, calm state of mind.

How do I know all of this? Because I used to have these dreadful tendencies. And I witness people still struggle with similar destructive thought patterns.

It’s important to understand that you become what you give your attention to. So many people download an abundance of poor data into their brains. Every. Single. Day.

This poor data comes in many forms: usually media-manufactured narratives that spread panic, hateful mobs canceling people, amplified extremist political views, and absurd celebrity drama, among other nonsense. 

The Solution

It doesn't have to be this way.

That's why I am starting this publication: To spread valuable ideas that can actually be of service to you. To share perspectives that'll make you confident instead of confused. Good data, to sharpen your intellect rather than shatter it. The practical effects from making certain realizations about life can be instant.

I grew up playing sports in a culturally diverse place, Worcester, Massachusetts, and have had the privilege to travel through New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, California, Canada, and Spain.

I read books and listen to podcasts on a wide range of topics: learning & habit development, history, tech, philosophy, psychology, health and exercise, and am also fluent in Spanish.

These insights and experiences inspired me to create Three Point Thursday - to communicate universal wisdom that I continue to learn. This newsletter is meant for anyone seeking to gain clarity of thought during this crazy era on Earth we all inhabit.
