Three Point Thursdays Are Dead

Happy Thanksgiving

If you’re my enemy and hoping I’m discontinuing the blog because of the title, you are mistaken!

To my non-enemies, happy Thanksgiving! I have a few updates.

The blog is now called Jeff Sullivan’s Essays.

Instead of all the different types of articles — “Three Point Essays,” “Three Point Summaries,” “Three Point Thursdays,” and “Three Pointers Premium” — it will simply be free essays and premium posts.¹

I haven’t been hooping as much.

It’s starting to feel fraudulent to stick with this theme. When I started the blog in college I was balling every day. That is not the case anymore. I also recently began the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey. It’s clear BJJ is not something you can “kind of be into.” Got to be all in. Which means less hoop.

Three Point Thursdays is such a catchy name to terminate. But the time has come.

Hypocrisy is the easiest trait to identify in a person, and we all are to differing extents. But in college, man. It was so inconsistent to publish personal development type content every Thursday, then get absolutely buckled at the bar that very night. How many times someone made a remark about it being Three Point Thursday while I was drooling into tequila soda number five!

Enough of that.

Essays is a cool word.

It’s actually a romantic word in my mind. The more time passes, the more of my heroes become writers. Many of whom write essays, and are often referred to as essayists. 

Don’t get it twisted about ball though. I’ll still cook you. Ball is still life, until the wheels fall off. Just less of life.
